Inspired by the littlest ones served by A Shelter for Cancer Families, our Caped Cancer Crusader Project produced its first superhero cape in December of 2015. Historically, these superhero inspired capes have been provided to children served by ASCF under the age of 10 or to any child affected by cancer (including children & siblings of cancer patients) upon request.
Now in a time where we need to lift up all of our heroes big and small, we would like to provide you the opportunity nominate your very own Caped Cancer Crusader TODAY! We invite you to share their story with us, and in return we will send our newly nominated super heroes their very own cape to wear as a cloak of strength. For those that would just like to put a smile on a child's face during such uncertain times, we welcome your donation to this project and thoroughly appreciate your support of A Shelter for Cancer Families.
Each silky yellow cape is handmade by ASCF volunteers with the prayer that it may serve as a comfort to the child wearing it. Capes are lined with soft, cuddly fabric and branded with the Caped Cancer Crusader logo symbolizing love, hope, and strength. Materials are carefully selected for comfort and durability. Each cape is intentionally free of metal zippers, hooks or buttons, to easily pass through airport scanners and hospital imaging machines.
ASCF has been providing tangible support to cancer families since 2001. For more information, follow us on Social Media through the links below or visit www.cancerfamilies.org.
