Out of an abundance of caution and to support those we serve, A Shelter for Cancer Families has unanimously decided to move our once scheduled face to face gathering to a drive-thru event. We are taking Catwalk to the car with our DISCO DRIVE-THRU for the whole family. Come spread the love as we lift up our Families Serving Families and highlight the silver linings during these challenging times.

A Shelter for Cancer Families invites you to celebrate the over 1080 families whom we have had the honor of serving thanks to your generosity over the years.
What started as humble roots of hosting families in hospitality homes (including our founder's own home) is now a welcoming community complex with the ability to provide over 5,000 nights of private housing a year. to families visiting the Texas Medical Center. By continuing to provide #morethanhousing, we have hosted over 250 celebrations along the way and helped countless navigate the cancer landscape.

A Shelter for Cancer Families (ASCF) provides free tangible support in the Texas Medical Center to families affected by cancer based on their needs, regardless of age, cancer type, treatment status or income.
A SHELTER FOR CANCER FAMILIES PROVIDES:
FREE SHORT TERM HOUSING provides a home away from home and peace of mind to out-of-town families seeking cancer care.
$700 provides housing for a family for a week
$3000 provides housing for a family a month
$36,000 provides housing for a family for a year
CANCER FAMILY NAVIGATORS provide cancer navigation services to families from Houston and out of town who are seeking cancer care. Our navigators are volunteers trained to help guide families through the cancer journey.
CELEBRATIONS are committed to creating opportunities for families to celebrate in the midst of the cancer journey. While patients and their loved ones focus on treatment, our team of volunteers can take care of the little details that create cherished moments.
